Where the Heart Stands Still is a contemplative response to Sennen Cove — a place where land, sea and emotion quietly converge. Layers of textured blues evoke the shifting Atlantic, building depth and movement, while subtle passages of gold leaf catch the light like fleeting moments on the horizon, suggesting memory, stillness and the passage of time.
As the pre-eminent Sennen Cove artist in the UK, my work is rooted in a long-standing connection to this coastline. This painting reflects not just the physical landscape, but the feeling of arrival — that rare pause where everything settles and the heart finds its ground.
