This print is produced using the giclée method of printing to Fine Art Trade standards. This limited addition print of 25 has been printed on Arches Aquarelle Rag Paper. The paper is made the traditional way, on a cylinder mould, with a harmonious natural grain which has very high colourfastness and archival permanence. The print is supplied with a Certificate of Authenticity which includes Date of release, My Signature, and Number Addition.
This series of paintings is my largest ever project, 365 artworks of Sennen Cove, one for each day of the year, inspired and captivated by this beautiful, magical bay in a remote part of western Cornwall near Land’s End. No two days are the same and each painting endeavours to catch a moment in time using abstraction to convey a sense of mood, time and place.
This picture seeks to explore my fascination with the harmony between water and sky at Sennen and the way in which, so often, the two seem to become one. Different shades and textures of blue coruscate in reflected mirror images – the sea appears in the sky and the sky appears in the sea so that all is light and water, bound and blended together at this one moment so that the viewer feels immersed in the depths below and the heights above, becoming one themselves with the rapturous beauty of this environment. Whether the skies are filled with rain, cloud or sun, Sennen is a mesmerising place, ever changing, ever fascinating.
