Cognition is the first in my new abstract painting series. It represents a recognition of the melding of human experience with the organic world of which we are part but all too often disparate from.
This artwork is textured with Dove Greys, Whites and Gentle Blues and makes for a sophisticated feature painting for any room
Tony’s newest work explores a deep sense of connection with the organic world. Using colours of the earth – soft greys and muted browns, illumined by rich streaks and veins of gold – he takes the viewer into a meditative, spiritual experience of the genius loci (the spirit of place). The strong use of texture animates the works, imbuing them with a tactile, dynamism. This series was stimulated by a recent visit to Madrid, in particular the work of Luis Feito which is so alive with light, colour and texture.
