With the recent cold, clear evenings there have been some beautiful sunsets, where ribbons of golden light pierce through misty blue and grey clouds, imbuing the still sea with a mystical, almost ethereal quality. This painting features a richly textured surface, designed to evoke a sense of movement and depth. The use of gold leaf adds a luminous, reflective dimension, subtly transforming as the ambient light shifts throughout the day, creating a dynamic interplay of light and shadow
This series of paintings is my largest ever project as I am painting 365 artworks of Sennen Cove. One for each day of the year. I have been inspired and captivated by this beautiful, magical bay in a remote part of western Cornwall near Lands End.
